HEAVY-DUTY REAR END PROTECTION AND CARRYING CAPACITY

The factory rear bumper on a 75 or 78 Troopy is a lightweight pressed steel unit. Fine for tame use, but on serious touring and off-road trips it offers minimal protection and zero provision for spare wheels, jerry cans, or recovery gear. A purpose-built rear bar swaps that factory unit for a chassis-bolted steel platform that protects the rear of the vehicle, carries serious payload on swing arms, and provides rated recovery points where the factory had none.

STEEL CONSTRUCTION WITH SWING-AWAY ARMS

Each rear bar is built from 3mm steel with a powder coated finish for years of rust resistance. Swing-away arms carry the spare wheel and jerry cans on either side of the bar with gas-strut assist that makes opening them easy even when fully loaded. Integrated hi-lift jacking points let you recover the vehicle without carrying a separate base plate. LED tail-light upgrades replace the factory units for better visibility. Heavy-duty over-centre latches lock the swing arms securely against rattling on corrugated roads.
