Brake calipers on a 70 Series are sealed assemblies with pistons, dust boots, and pad retention hardware that all have a finite lifespan. After fifteen or twenty years of mud, water crossings, salt spray, and brake dust, the pistons start to seize in the bore and the dust boots crack open. A seized caliper pad drags, ruins a rotor, and causes uneven stopping that gets dangerous under heavy braking. Replacement calipers solve the problem fully. Pads no longer drag, brake feel comes back, and the system stops evenly across both front wheels rather than pulling to one side.

BOLT-ON REPLACEMENTS WITH NEW SEALS AND PISTONS

The calipers in this collection are remanufactured or new units with fresh pistons, new dust boots, new seals, and rebuilt hardware. Each caliper bolts directly to the factory steering knuckle using the original mounting bolts, with no machining or modification required. Brake hose connections are standard threaded fittings. Pad fitment is matched to the factory specification so OEM or aftermarket pads slot straight in. Most owners replace calipers in pairs to keep braking even, particularly when the original units have seen serious mileage on heavily loaded vehicles.
