The factory exhaust manifold and dump pipe on a 70 Series are designed to meet emissions and noise compliance, not to flow as much exhaust gas as the engine can produce. Replacing them with a properly-sized aftermarket dump pipe and engine pipe is where the biggest performance gains in an exhaust upgrade actually come from. Reducing backpressure at the turbo outlet lets the turbo spool faster, drops exhaust gas temperatures under load, and unlocks the engine's response without modifying the internals. 3 INCH STAINLESS STEEL CONSTRUCTION

Each dump pipe and engine pipe in this collection is built from 409 grade stainless steel sized for the specific 70 Series engine. The V8 1VD-FTV uses 3 inch piping with mandrel bends to maintain smooth flow at the turbo outlet. The 1HZ uses 2.5 inch piping configured for the older single turbo and intercooler setup. Flange connections are precision cut to seal against the supplied gaskets without leaks. Where required, oxygen sensor bungs are included in the right positions to maintain proper sensor function. Most kits are bolt-on with no welding or modification needed.

1HZ, 1VD-FTV V8, AND 1GD-FTV 2.8L OPTIONS

Dump pipes and engine pipes are matched to the specific engine because the turbo outlet flange dimensions and downstream pipe sizing differs between the 1HZ, the 1VD-FTV V8, and the new 1GD-FTV 2.8L.
