LATE VDJ ERA BONNET WITH SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT CONTOUR

Toyota updated the 70 Series in 2016 with a slight refresh to the front clip, including a marginally different bonnet line. That update means protectors cut for the 2007 to 2016 vehicles do not sit perfectly on the 2016 to 2023 bonnet, and vice versa. The protectors in this collection are moulded for the late VDJ V8 era specifically, so fitment is flush at the leading edge and across the headlight cutouts. The product still does the same job. Deflecting stones, gravel, and bug splatter up and over the windscreen rather than into the paint.

DARK TINTED ACRYLIC, UV STABILISED

Built from UV-stabilised impact-modified acrylic with a dark tinted finish that hides bug splatter and minor surface marks between washes. The acrylic resists yellowing, cracking, and going brittle through years of Aussie summer sun. The dark tint complements both the factory chrome grille and aftermarket black or mesh grille options that owners often run on a late VDJ. Installation uses supplied mounting hardware that grips the bonnet edge with no drilling into the panel, and the protector comes off cleanly if you ever decide to return the vehicle to factory spec.

This collection covers the 76 Wagon, 78 Troop Carrier, and 79 single cab and dual cab body styles built with the late VDJ V8 era bonnet between the 2016 refresh and the 2023 end of V8 production. Each listing confirms exact build date range before you order. Pre-2016 vehicles need the 2007 to 2016 protector, and 2024 onwards GDJ facelift vehicles need the new GDJ-specific protector instead.
