BONNET PROTECTORS FOR THE 2024 ONWARDS FACELIFT 70 SERIES
NEW BONNET SHAPE, NEW MOULD
The 2024 GDJ facelift changed the front clip of the 70 Series significantly. New grille, new headlights, new bumper, and a new bonnet contour. Older 2007 to 2023 bonnet protectors do not fit. The protectors in this collection are moulded specifically for the GDJ bonnet shape, with the right contour at the leading edge and the correct mounting points to suit the new front clip. The job they do is unchanged though. Stones, gravel, bugs, and road debris all get deflected up and over the windscreen instead of into the paint, which on a $90,000 vehicle is worth doing from day one.
UV-STABILISED ACRYLIC IN DARK TINT OR MATTE BLACK
Both finish options are available. Dark tinted acrylic is the traditional choice and hides bug splatter, dust buildup, and surface marks between washes. Matte black acrylic suits builds going for the blacked-out front end look with the matching matte grille and headlight surrounds. Both finishes use the same UV-stabilised impact-modified acrylic that resists yellowing, cracking, and going brittle through years of Australian sun. Each protector is precision moulded to match the GDJ bonnet contour for a flush fit with no gaps and no vibration at highway speed.
SUITS GDJ76, GDJ78, AND GDJ79 FROM 2024
The 2024 facelift bonnet is shared across the GDJ76 Wagon, GDJ78 Troop Carrier, and GDJ79 single cab and dual cab, so the same protector fits all four body styles. Each listing confirms exact year range before you order. Installation uses the supplied mounting hardware with no drilling into the bonnet itself, and the protector can be removed cleanly if the vehicle is ever sold or returned to fully stock condition. Often fitted alongside matching tinted headlight protectors and weather shields for a coordinated front-end protection package.
