FRP FIBREGLASS FENDER FLARES FOR THE 70 SERIES
THE FIBREGLASS SPECIALIST BEHIND OUR FLARE RANGE
FRP is the fibreglass moulding specialist behind the fender flare range we carry for the 70 Series Land Cruiser. Every FRP flare is hand-laid from premium woven fibreglass cloth and resin in a moulded process that produces consistent panel thickness, true edges, and tight tolerances against the guard profile. FRP flares are the choice for 70 Series owners who want a fully paintable flare that can be colour-matched to factory paint codes, rather than the textured plastic finish of polypropylene factory-style flares or the moulded look of polyurethane wide flares.
FIBREGLASS, PAINTABLE, REPAIRABLE
Fibreglass has been the preferred material for performance and aftermarket flares for decades because it combines low weight with high impact resistance and the ability to be repaired if damaged. Unlike polyurethane flares which flex and recover, fibreglass holds its moulded shape under load, giving a sharper edge profile and a more aggressive guard line. UV resistance is built in through the gelcoat finish, so the panels survive years of Australian sun without yellowing or going chalky. Damaged flares can be cut, patched, and re-laid by any fibreglass repair shop rather than being a write-off.
FITS THE FULL 70 SERIES RANGE
FRP flares cover the 75 Series ute and Troopy, the 76 Wagon, the 78 Troop Carrier, and the 79 single cab and dual cab. Flares are moulded for the specific guard profile of each body style and era because the VDJ V8 (2007 to 2023) and GDJ facelift (2024 onward) use different fender shapes. Front pair kits and four-pack full vehicle kits are offered depending on the scope of the build. Each listing confirms exact body style, year range, and fitment notes before ordering.
